Blessed to be a Blessing

OCTOBER 18–19, 2026

Go is a weekend where our church family turns its attention outward — to the nations, our neighbors, and everyone God has placed in our path. Across three gatherings, we'll dig into Scripture, pray for the world, and ask God to help us see ourselves as Everyday Missionaries, sent by Christ right where we are.

Main Sessions

Christ-centered teaching walking through Jonah's failure, Jesus' fulfillment, and what it looks like to live it out, paired with worship, three gatherings across two days.

Prayer for the Nations

Guided prayer for our missions partners at evening sessions — from local ministries here in Cedar Rapids to partners serving in Thailand, Taiwan, Kenya, Denmark, Sweden, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.

Shared Mission

Tabling and a Missions Open House before and after the evening sessions, so you can meet our partners face-to-face and take a next step together as a church family — not something you do alone.

Questions?

Three gatherings:

  • Sunday, October 18, our regular Sunday morning services. Jonah was blessed, and he ran from it.
  • Sunday, October 18, 4:00pm. Jesus sat down at a well, blessed, and became the blessing.
  • Monday, October 19, 6:30pm. Our turn to live it — here, now, with the people already in our lives.

Doors and tabling with our mission partners open at 6:00pm on Monday.

No. Go isn't for people who are already missions-minded — it's for everyone. Most of us have never thought of our coworkers, neighbors, and baristas as people God has placed right by us.

No. It starts with the people already in your life — your neighborhood, your workplace, your school. You don't have to get on a plane to be part of this.
