Before Jesus Changed My Life
I have always believed in God, but for a long time, it stopped there. I only prayed when I needed something from Him. I lived a self-serving life, focused on my own needs and desires. This was especially evident during college, when I often sought others' approval and pursued temporary satisfaction rather than finding my identity and fulfillment in God. Looking back, I now realize that God was with me every step of the way and never failed me, even in my darkest moments.
How Jesus Changed My Life
I’ve been blessed to be part of my husband’s family, who are strong in their faith and members of Veritas Church. My husband and I decided we wanted to be more intentional about attending church and following Christ. As I mentioned before, I had always believed in God, so I was open to it. As we began attending regularly, the Gospel truly started to make sense to me. There was one service in particular that changed everything. Pastor Jake said, “If you don’t believe Jesus died on the cross for you, then you will never live for Him.” In that moment, something shifted in my heart. From then on, I fully surrendered my life to God, my plans, hopes, dreams, and fears, and placed them all in His hands.
My Life After Jesus Saved Me
From that service on, I have chosen to live each day for God and His kingdom. I strive to be a better wife and mother, seeing my husband and children through God’s eyes and loving them as He does. I show up to work each day aiming to reflect God’s grace and to work faithfully for His glory. When I face struggles or challenges, I hold on to Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” This is a constant reminder to trust Him fully. Because I have God in my life, I no longer have to fear what tomorrow may bring.
