Before Jesus Changed My Life

Though I thought I had given my life to Christ and then baptized as a teen I have lived a pretty pharisaical life, and I was very much focused on pleasing people and looking for acceptance. Even though I knew who Jesus was and what he did for me, I still wanted to be the good person who always did it right, and I was often affirmed that I was a good person. In July of 2024, I cried out to God that I was done and He was the only one. Since then, I have had the desire to be in the Word which due to my past history, had been hard as I learned to do it for points in our youth group. I feel this is when I truly saw my sin for what it was and would like to publicly share what He has done for me.

How Jesus Changed My Life

We started going to Veritas in 2021. Through the sermons, connection group, and gospel shepherding, I realized that I was still looking to others to fill the void. One night, I cried out to Jesus and surrendered to Him. Since then, I have gone through Gospel Pathway, and that was a huge blessing.

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

I know that my hope is found in Jesus and not through anything or anyone else, and that is all that matters. I am His! ‘“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine,”’ Isaiah 43:1b
