What was life like before you met Jesus?

Before I met Jesus, I was choosing sin and wanting things that I really didn't need. I believed Jesus was real, but I didn’t know him and didn't understand much of the bible. I knew facts and information about Jesus, but I didn't have a relationship with him at this point. For a long time, I would pray when my life was down and ask for guidance on what to do. Then, when things got better, I would go back to not praying or even thinking about Jesus.

How did you meet Jesus?

God used many events to bring me to an understanding of my need for Jesus. Between looking around and seeing what is going on in the world, the lies that are being told, and then mostly, the passing of my dad. I began wondering what happened to him and what will happen to me when I die. I started reading the Bible. Then I went to church, and I really liked going. After that, I started bible study. When listening to an audio program, I heard the gospel explained clearly and understood more what Jesus did for me, I knew I believed he was here for me. Now, I read daily, listen to audio programs, and want to read and hear more about Jesus. John 16:13 says, “When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own and he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?

Now that I know Jesus, I pray a lot. I pray about everything that is happening. I have a desire to read the Bible and learn more about who Christ is. I have hope, knowing that God is there and will help me no matter what happens! John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
