Before Jesus Changed My Life

Before Christ, I was lost, living for the world, lustful, a liar, a cheat, living for myself at the expense of others.

How Jesus Changed My Life

I grew up in the church, but never took it too seriously. I had an uncle and a cousin who would always lead by example in Christ, generous, loving, and forgiving in all things and with everyone. I always found myself longing for God and Jesus. As a young adult, I went to church sporadically because I knew I was missing something in my life. When I was at my lowest, I did the Bible shuffle and flipped through the pages and stopped randomly on Psalms 69. And even though I didn't have "enemies" I felt the heaviness and pain of the writings. I knew He was listening. Because of Jesus' sacrifice, I knew I could be saved. The most crucial moment was early August last year. My wife and I both had the same call to weed out bad friends and get closer to the church. It was a gut feeling we both had away from each other, but at the same time, after discussing. That is when I knew the Lord had a grip on me, and I could no longer refuse His gift of salvation, through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and forgiveness of my sins through faith and repentance.

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

After Christ intervened in my life, I now read my Bible 4 to 5 times a week at least. That is where I go for answers. I find myself disgusted with my sin and constantly striving for better. I'm repenting and giving all glory to God for everything, the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the Grace He's given me. The salvation all glory goes to God. The good works I do are from Him. My desires for good are from Him. I am so grateful.
