Before Jesus Changed My Life
I was raised Lutheran, my parents baptized me as a baby. I attended Sunday school and Catechism and was confirmed. I raised my kids in the same way, but I wasn’t always the best role model for them in ways that are still sometimes hard to put into words, and I failed them as a mother in raising them to live a godly life.
How Jesus Changed My Life
My son invited me to attend Veritas, and I went, but I did it more for him than myself the first couple of times. Then it became for me, and so many services touched me in ways I didn’t think possible. One service will always stand out to me for its emphasis on family, faith, and the priority of gathering. Brought tears to my eyes, as again I failed in that area. Afterward, I turned to my son and apologized for my shortcomings. In John 5:24, Jesus says, “Whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life.”
My Life After Jesus Saved Me
I used to have a lot of anxiety and self-doubt. I’ve been able to let go of that as I feel God has forgiven me. I find that, instead of overindulging in bad habits, I turn to the faith I’ve learned over the last four years attending Veritas.
