Before Jesus Changed My Life
I grew up in a Christian household surrounded by others who loved Jesus. However after a difficult season that included my parents getting divorced, I felt dead and empty inside and didn't know what was right anymore. One day, I felt so empty that I prayed and asked God to bring my parents back together. But instead of doing that, He did something greater.
How Jesus Changed My Life
Instead, He gave me life, and I started to feel convicted about all of my sins. After feeling guilty and empty for a while, He opened up my heart spiritually and helped me realize that the only way this was going to get better was through Jesus Christ. I felt hopeless and empty inside, but I opened my heart to Jesus, and He saved me. My faith in Jesus Christ comes from belief and trust. Jesus has saved me from sin by dying on the cross for my sins and confirmed His promise of eternal life to me when He rose from the grave. The gospel is salvation through the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 makes it clear, “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.“ I am no longer dead in all of my sin, I am alive in God.
My Life After Jesus Saved Me
I have been transformed from usually hanging out with bad friends, to trying to bring them closer to Christ, but if they don’t want to I have started to let them go. I struggled with anxiety and hopelessness, but the weight of regret is placed by the light of the holy spirit. I used to feel hopeless and empty inside. I did not feel bad about my sin. Now I feel a righteous guilt about my sin, yet I also feel happier than I was. Jesus didn't just save me from all of these actions, He saved me by making me alive in him.
