Before Jesus Changed My Life
I grew up knowing who God was and what Jesus had done for us, but I didn’t have a relationship with him. I would attend church every other weekend. I didn’t really like going and wouldn’t pay attention. It was just because my dad and his wife went. It was like that for most of my time growing up until COVID came along, and I didn’t have much to do and realized I felt lost and empty. I tried to cling to different things to fill that void, but I just felt empty over and over. Until I bought my first bible and started reading it and started to build my relationship with Jesus, but it was never consistent, and I was still struggling with things internally. It was like that all through high school, and then college came along. I came to Iowa to attend college, and it felt like I gained all the freedom there was. I was away from my parents and on my own. It all seemed so exciting, but then I started trying to fill the void again with worldly things. I started to go out and drink heavily, and all my freshman year and half of sophomore year was what I would do and look forward to. I tried to find my purpose through those things. I also struggled with thinking I needed everyone to like me and people-pleasing a lot, and I also struggled with my sexuality and tried to make that my identity for years. Towards the end of the 2nd semester of sophomore year, I knew I needed to make a change in my life. I wasn’t happy or motivated for anything. I knew the answer, and I had always known it was God. He was what I was missing. I started reading my Bible again and rebuilding my relationship with Jesus. I knew Salt was a thing, but I wasn’t close to anyone who went until Aurey, my friend from college, posted that she was going, so I reached out, and she invited me to go with her. I canceled 3 times until I finally went, and after that day I felt like I had found home.
How Jesus Changed My Life
Jesus has changed my life in many ways for the best. He has changed the way I think about life and myself. He has also changed my environment and blessed me with many Jesus-loving people whom I love so much. Jesus has changed the desires of my heart, and I no longer find desire to do anything that leads me away from him. He has changed my life by teaching me discipline, which I used to lack a lot, but has been teaching me to be. He has taught me to be patient and loving toward others and myself. Jesus has helped me to find true joy and find my true purpose, which is to share the good news and glorify God in everything I do. He has changed my life by filling that empty void and letting me know that it isn’t just temporary but forever. All of this is because he helped me to embrace the gospel, which is the good news that God loves us so much that he sent Jesus to die for all our sins. Jesus lived a perfect life; he was killed but rose on the 3rd day, defeating death. Because of this, we can receive forgiveness and eternal life through faith in Jesus. We can also have a relationship with God.
My Life After Jesus Saved Me
My life after Jesus saved me has been the best. I am not just happy now, but I have joy.. He really is the best thing in my life. I now live knowing that I serve a living God and that everything I do is to glorify him. I have a true and meaningful purpose. I live knowing Jesus is always there for me, and I will never be alone, and he will always be there to help me. I now live knowing that my identity is only found through Jesus and him alone, and nothing else defines me not even my past. I also now live with the greatest hope that Jesus is coming back to save us
