Before Jesus Changed My Life
I grew up in a Christian household, but as I got older, I drifted further away from God. Through my teenage years, I lived in sin and was comfortable in it, even though I knew it was wrong. I chased temporary satisfaction from substances and worldly pleasures, thinking they would fill the emptiness I felt. Instead, they only left me feeling more lost.
How Jesus Changed My Life
In 2025, I went through a very dark season of depression. I felt hopeless, like the enemy had a hold on me. I had thoughts of ending my life when the Lord reached out his hand to save me. I was invited to the Salt Fall Retreat, and that became a turning point in my life. It wasn’t an instant transformation, but little by little, I saw how God was working in me. He revealed areas of my life that needed to change and gave me the strength to fight the sin I had been living in. I started surrendering my burdens to Him instead of carrying them on my own. Through this, I realized that He truly does save. I was completely lost, but I began to see the light of Jesus breaking through the darkness.
My Life After Jesus Saved Me
Since giving my life to Christ I have been wholly changed. I now have hope and purpose that I never had before. I’ve experienced the joy of the Lord, and I have a deeper appreciation for the things I once took for granted. I still face challenges, but I no longer carry them alone. Instead of being overwhelmed by worry and anxiety, I bring everything to God, rely on His strength, and trust in His will. Romans 3:23-24 says “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Jesus Christ.” This verse reminds me that even in my brokenness, He made a way for me. Jesus already paid the price for my sin, and I receive that forgiveness by trusting in Him.
