Before Jesus Changed My Life

I began recognizing that I was in need of a savior about 5 years ago. I prayed for my situation to change and the choices I was making to be better. As I prayed, my life started to painfully dismantle. The pain of anxiety and depression would bear itself to be far too heavy on my own. It took several years within that time frame to recognize Jesus, however my prayers were planting seeds for my future evolution. I was lost and broken and was in need of a Savior! I lacked discipline and self-control in many ways, which ultimately made me take an inventory of my choices and actions. I needed Jesus.

How Jesus Changed My Life

I started to care for myself and learn ways to be more appropriate in my behavior and emotions. Although I speak for myself in acting in a more obedient manner, it is when the weight of anxiety and depression that lifted off of my shoulders by choosing to be yoked with the Lord. I have chosen to be obedient and learn to be disciplined.

For All these forty years, your clothes didn't wear out, and your feet didn't blister or swell. Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good (Deuteronomy 8:4-5).

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

The hope that is within my faith is brought to life every day through my ever-growing relationship with the Lord. I build this faith on the sacrifice that Jesus made to pay the debt for my sins. I know that a love like that is worth seeking, and I am unworthy of such a gift, but through that sacrifice, Jesus has already paid my debt for entry into heaven and to be in right relationship with God forever.
