Before Jesus changed my life, I fell deep into lust. I was Lukewarm. I didn't know what to do. I would try to get deeper into his word by going to Bible studies and going to church but I fell in love with worldly things more than I did His word. Going into my junior year I would say was around the time I realized that I was losing my love for Jesus. I’ve thought about what it would be like if I wasn’t here anymore. I fell into depression when things got hard and I didn't feel Jesus in my life anymore and it caused me to lose people I loved and hurt people I've cared about.
How Jesus Changed My Life
Jesus changed my life by giving me people who loved and cared for me, including Himself. The sins I committed separated me more and more from God. We talked about Him being in the picture, but, when I would commit these sins He wasn’t there, it was like I would pick and choose when I wanted Him to be in my life. After I came to my senses and realized what I was doing went against everything the Lord stood for I stopped doing what I was doing. I knew if I truly wanted to go to Heaven I would have to turn to God and ask for forgiveness in which I did. He helped me gain trust and lose love for worldly things. Without Jesus, I wouldn't be where I am today. His plan is greater than anything I could ever imagine. Some steps I took are talking to some friends, their family and my then girlfriend who brought me closer to God. I believe God brought her into my life for this reason. I would also try reading His Word and watching videos about The Gospel and different ways I can show that I am living for the Lord instead of just using my mouth to say I am.
My Life After Jesus Saved Me
My life after Jesus saved me again is a lot better. I see joy in the world and living. I don't live for worldly things - I've had little temptation and have been more positive to people I'm around and try to help them in any way I can to let them know that I am here and Jesus will help us along the way as long as we put our trust in him. Some scripture that God is using on me is the whole book of 1 John 1, 2, and 3 some specific ones are 1 John 2:15, 1 John 2:4-6, and Philippians 4:6-7. Luke 9:26, Matthew 16:24. Jesus changed my life by helping me feel loved, forgiven and happy. When I trust him, he helps me make good choices and gives me peace. He shows me how to love others and live a good life. Because I know Jesus, I will live with him forever.
