Before coming to know Jesus, I relied on my own planning and desire to control situations and outcomes. Inevitably when this failed, I felt frustrated, confused, and disappointed.

How Jesus Changed My Life

Digging into the Word and understanding the Gospels more has helped point me in the right direction and understand that it's not me that's controlling every outcome. A sense of trust and understanding that there is no need to worry and try to control/plan everything. God takes care of even the birds and lilies, he most certainly will take care of us (Luke 12:22-31). My hope is solely in the truth that Jesus Christ died for our sins, and through faith in Him alone we are saved.

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

I have a different perspective now. Instead of relying on myself and how I think I can solve every problem, trusting in Jesus and God's eternal plan gives me a lot of comfort. That doesn't mean that everything in life will be easy, but trusting in Him and the Word is a better path. It is this path of working to understand and know Jesus that will continue to shape our temporary lives here and prepare us for enteral life with Him.
